Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Full-time - Night shift

Coordinates, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care for a designated group of residents.  May manage the overall care of designated group of residents with oversight by RN supervisor as needed.  May be designated Team Leader of a specific nursing unit.  Provides leadership and direction to CNAs to deliver and maintain quality care within established policies and procedures and guidelines of the Pennsylvania State Nurse Practice Act.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Full-time or part-time available.

The Nursing Assistant completes specialized training in areas of leadership, mentoring and resident centered care.  Nursing care and nursing related services are provided to residents according to each resident’s comprehensive assessment and plan of care.  All resident care is provided in a manner that meets the resident’s physical, mental and psychosocial needs and enables the individual to attain and maintain the highest practical level of functioning.  High School Graduate or G.E.D.  Certificate in good standing from Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.

Resident Care Associate

Part-time or casual available.

Provides Assisted Living residents with direction, supervision, monitoring and assistance in activities of daily living while promoting independence.  Maintains appropriate records and documentation.  Provides planned and spontaneous activities for residents.  Assists with daily operational needs of Assisted Living Center.   High school graduate or G.E.D.

Diet Aide

Full and part-time available.

Performs simple food preparation tasks, serves food and cleans up after meal service in compliance with general sanitation and safety guidelines for food service operations.  Responsible for stocking kitchen with needed supplies and interact with residents, staff and visitors.

Server

Part-time, 4pm-8pm

Responsible for serving food (table side service) in the Formal Dining Room and creating an enjoyable dining experience for residents and their guests.

Cook

Part-time available, 10:00am-6:30pm/11:00am-7:30pm.

Prepares meals for residents, staff and visitors daily using standardized recipes for pre-planned menus. Prepares food properly in large quantities according to the standardized recipes to produce an acceptable product. Prepares hot entrees, soups and vegetables following preparation sheets and provided recipes for dining room service, Health Care Center, Grille, Assisted Living, and special functions.

Graduate of Accredited Culinary School or 1-2 years experience or combination of both.

Housekeeper

Full-time, 8:00am-4:30pm. Weekends required.

Provides housekeeping services for efficient, clean, comfortable and safe operation of all departments that enhances resident and employee life: performs a wide variety of cleaning and services-oriented tasks in all locations around the campus.

Director of Nursing - Full Time

A dynamic, caring team member is sought to be the Director of Nursing for the 60 bed skilled nursing center of Longwood at Oakmont.  This premier CARF Accredited Continuing Care Retirement Community offers a beautiful working environment and quality services including rehabilitation and dementia programs.  The successful candidate must exhibit leadership experience, nursing excellence and be supportive in an environment of culture change.  Organizational skills, team development and a passion for the care of older adults are required along with nursing supervisory experience in long-term care. A Pennsylvania RN license is required.  Bachelor degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Recreation Assistant

Full-time and Casual available.

Conduct therapeutic recreation programs, develops appropriate intervention strategies and plans, as assigned, to meet the recreational and psychosocial needs of residents. Welcome new Residents and participates in comprehensive resident assessment. Support efforts of volunteers and community programs. Encourage residents to participate in recreation that meets the Resident’s needs and interests.

Security Driver

Part-time, 20 hours/week or casual available.

The Shuttle Driver operates Longwood at Oakmont owned or leased motor vehicle(s) in order to complete a variety of resident pick ups on and off campus to provide residents with the maximum amount of independence.  The driver also operates said vehicle(s) for other assignments to meet business needs.  The driver ensures the vehicle(s) is maintained in a clean, safe and mechanically sound operating condition.  The driver also has a working understanding of the Front Desk Security Manual. Valid PA Drivers License and CDL required

Utility/Project

Full-time, 8:00am-4:30pm, variable days.

Provides a wide variety of cleaning and service-oriented tasks in all locations. Delivers cleaning services to maintain the general appearance of the facility on a daily basis including vacuuming, dusting, trash removal and extensive floor care. Moves and arranges furniture as requested by resident and/or staff to have rooms set up timely and comfortably for meetings, entertainment or personal use. Must have the ability to operate a stake truck to complete a facility-wide trash run and recycling pick up. Must have the ability and experience to operate all floor maintenance equipment including 20" floor scrubbers, 20" buffing machines, 20" bonnet cleaning machines and carpet extractors.
