Accreditation

Longwood at Oakmont is among a privileged group of communities that has been nationally recognized by CARF-CCAC, previously known as the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission. This is a private, non-profit organization that accredits continuing care retirement communities on the basis of their financial stability and quality of care.

The Commission sets over seventeen hundred standards of excellence and assures stakeholders (residents, families, care professionals, staff, vendors, etc.) that the community has a five-star rating. Longwood earned its first accreditation in 2001 and was re-accredited in 2006.

Only eleven percent of all life care communities in the United States have received this seal of approval.
