A Leading Retirement Community in Oakmont, PA

A Community That is planned by Residents, for Residents, and sponsored by Presbyterian SeniorCare Network

You will be hard-pressed to find another community where residents have as much input over how the community is shaped. As a not-for-profit, Longwood at Oakmont has a resident-driven philosophy, with residents selecting and running the programs, getting involved in committees and even holding positions on the Board of Directors. Our mission is to increase empowerment among our residents, not the income levels of stockholders. We invest all revenue after expenses to enhance our community.

Some of this guidance comes from our sponsor, Presbyterian SeniorCare Network, a regional network of living and care options for older adults or persons with disabilities, serving all faiths since 1928. Respected for its charitable work, the SeniorCARE FUND helped build the Hanna HealthCare Center at Longwood in 2009 through donations from current Longwood residents.

Above all, prospective residents should know that Longwood at Oakmont meets the highest standards in detail, by every important measurement: We are accredited by the CARF. This independent, non-profit organization evaluates CCRCs for financial stability and quality of care, using 1,700 criteria. Only 11% of all LifeCare communities in America have earned this seal of approval. Longwood’s certification was achieved in 2001 and reaffirmed in 2016 for another term.
